On the day the first rift tore the sky, this was the light that burned itself away to seal the barrier anew. Now woken from a long sleep, Seraph stands once more at the very front. When those wings spread, the scattered wingmates' cores resonate, and no wall of fire can break the formation. What Seraph guards is not the barrier, but everything left beneath it.

Many know the name; few have seen the face. Wandering the front lines alone, Nova appears at the moment all others fall, overturns the battle with a single supernova, and is gone. That light is both hope and warning — for if Nova has come, there is nowhere left to retreat.

The being that was the sky descends at last, flying beside the pilots she has always protected. The name she chose is the oldest one — the name people called her, looking up.
