STORY
A water scout who glides along the current as they range ahead. An old comrade of Ripple's who never loses a quip, no matter how dire the moment. That ease has, more than once, made a weary line smile again.
Kai used to fly transports. When a rift raid took his escort and left him adrift, it was Ripple's squadron that pulled him in. Now he rides the flow in a fighter — never rushing, slipping between bullet curtains the way water slides past stone. When he flies beside Ripple, that flow becomes a current.
